Facilities Condition Assessment and Referendum

Please be advised that during our recent investigations by our architect and engineers of districtwide envelope needs of our buildings, along with electrical, mechanical, and educational facility related issues, we discovered emergency structural concerns regarding two entranceways at Tatem Elementary School and Tatem’s 1954 back wall section that directly affects primarily two classrooms. These emergency repairs at Tatem are occurring now and will continue through October of this school year. Students in the two classrooms will be relocated to other classrooms. In regard to the high school’s B-Gym, major structural concerns were also discovered. Remediation and investigations are continuing. Contingency plans are being discussed if the B-Gym is not available during the upcoming school year. We will advise as to updates.
